- Florida passed legislation, pending executive approval on July 1, 2017, that allows for patient care providers to properly dispose of controlled substances on behalf of a patient at the time of patient’s death.
- Nebraska approved $300,000 for general funds for implementation of statewide drug disposal program.
- South Carolina passed legislation, pending final approval by the Governor, that allows facilities already operating in the state as a registrant to be a registered collector to dispose of ultimate user or decedent’s property.
