Recycling & Beneficial Reuse
Solutions for the Energy Sector
Clean Earth’s proven methodology used to recycle or beneficially reuse drill cuttings, drilling mud, and pipeline cuttings derived from gas exploration and well installations stabilizes the material both geotechnically and chemically to deliver an acceptable, beneficially reusable, construction fill to be used at Brownfields or PA Act II sites.
First, the drill cuttings are scanned for radioactivity prior to the stabilization process. Next, during the stabilization process, reagents are added to the drill or pipeline cuttings to enhance the geotechnical qualities of the material. The cuttings then go through a pugmill process utilized to mix the material which generates a reengineered material to meet site specific geotechnical specifications for recycling and beneficial reuse applications.
