States Still Analyzing New Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule

As states continue to analyze the Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule, we are continuing to monitor the latest rulemaking activity for each state. As of December 2017, Oklahoma is the latest state to move forward with the rulemaking process for the Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule.
Below is the most recent anticipated schedule of states and territories adopting the Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule:

- Rulemaking in Q4 2017: Kentucky
- Anticipated Rulemaking by July 2018: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois,Massachusetts, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia
- Anticipated Rulemaking by July 2019: Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Oregon, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming

- Oklahoma Environmental Quality Board approved proposed rules on November 17, 2017; will go to legislature in Q1 2018
