Generator Improvements Rule Update November 2019

There was not a significant amount of changes this past month regarding Generator Improvements Rule. Below are the most recent updates. We will continue to monitor activity and keep you posted with the most up-to-date information available.

Specific Updates

Maryland has set their final rule effective date for July 2020. Nevada held a workshop on November 11 and have announced comments due December 14; they are still planning no their final rule effective date to be sometime in 2020 but have not narrowed it down any further. New Hampshire is adopting the rule in two parts. The first part includes some of the rule components, like marking and labeling containers, and became effective on November 23, 2019. The second part of the rule-making process will be initiated in 2020. North Dakota is expecting to publish their proposed rule in early 2020 with public hearings and comments to follow; they are expecting their final rule effective date to be in July 2020. Ohio is still planning on drafting their proposed rule before the end of the year. Texas is currently drafting their rule and expect the proposed rule to be published in the summer of 2020. Vermont has set their final rule effective date for Spring 2020. Finally, Wisconsin’s Board approved their legislative review on October 23, but have no further updates at this time.
